Shoot One

For this project I have decided to have shoots on Dartmoor and have shoots in Plymouth City Centre where I will be using a crystal ball to shoot through. I decided to have a shoot practising how I would use the crystal ball in order to get the effect that I am after. I want to have images that convey a chaotic, almost panic-inducing effect which would replicate the feeling that people who have autism feel when they are in a crowded place such as Plymouth City Centre.

I decided that I would test out the crystal ball on my street, so I can see the best angles, focus and stand for the crystal ball images. I went out and shot around 30 images experimenting.

After looking through the images that I have shot, I prefer the ones with my hand holding the crystal ball and the ones with less focus and look more abstract. These images convey the panic and anxiety that autistic people feel when they are in a crowd or crowded area. I will be shooting more of these images but in the City Centre. I feel that this shoot was successful in that I have determined the technique that I will be using for my shoots from now on.
